The ESG Competence Program for Boards, developed by DNV and FutureBoards is designed to elevate the proficiency of board members in navigating the ESG landscape and its implications on board responsibilities, composition, and workflows.

Over 200 board members from a diverse array of international companies, including those with a strong focus on ESG and Sustainability have already benefited from this program. The curriculum consists of two digital modules, each lasting 4 hours, blending informative presentations, interactive discussions, and experience sharing. Upon completion, participants earn an ‘ESG for Board Competence Certificate’ from DNV, and companies with at least 40% of their board members graduating from the program will be awarded a company board ESG competence certificate.

Moreover, graduates are welcome into the ‘ESG for Boards Alumni’ network, a platform for ongoing ESG discourse and access to exclusive Masterclasses. All materials, including presentations and recordings, are accessible on the ESG for Boards website.

The 2026 sessions will be organized as bespoke seminars/work-shops for corporate boards that aim to stay on top of the rapidly changing ESG environment. ustomized plans are also available for the board and management of the company
